I'm so excited you're here! My name is Betsy Maxwell. I have been teaching at the Eliot School since 1997. I have taught grades K-3, but the majority of my time has been spent in 2nd grade. I have three children. Jacob is heading to his senior year at Nichols College, Joshua is heading off to his junior year at Skidmore College, and Genevieve is off to 9th grade at Needham High School. 


I love teaching second grade. I pride myself in making learning fun and exciting for all of my students. In my spare time I am a passionate reader, writer and baker. My husband and I are struggling with two kids being gone so we have three dogs! Eva, Luna, and Ziggy are a constant source of entertainment and love.
